The Certificate In House Keeping is a program designed to train and develops future hospitality professionals. Certificate In House Keeping is affiliated to the HRDF Goa, which is approved by Government of Goa. The course duration is for six months, after which a students would be placed for six months industrial training in five star or luxury hotels. The Course helps the student understand the basics of the House Keeping. It also gives students hands on work experience and monitored training through practical’s classes.

This programme is specially designed in Specific area of hotel management in which the learner learns how to handle the House keeping of hotel operation .This unit is designed to provide to students with an overview of sales and marketing, its concepts and principles in the accommodation sector. Students are exposed to understand the fundamentals of selling and marketing, the marketing environment, elements in marketing accommodation operations, marketing mix, and competitive analysis and understand the importance of accommodation software. The Program will also equip students with the knowledge of the importance of correct hygiene and sanitation procedures in their area of work, and their professional obligation to provide a clean, safe and comfortable environment to the customer/ guest. It also covers the causes, symptoms, sources of the various types of contamination or illness as a result of pathogenic bacteria, the importance of personal and environmental hygiene in the workplace, understand the use of correct cleaning agents, equipment and cleaning methods and the possibility of cross infection or cross contamination occurring due to poor housekeeping practices. Students will also learn the various acts and licensing that are now mandatory to any hotelier operator to acquire in relation to the protection and preservation of the Environment therein.

  • The minimum qualification for admission is 10system of Secondary Education or its equivalent with English as one of the compulsory subject.
  • The Maximum Age limit is 25 years for candidates as on 1st July.
  • The student should be medically fit; the same should be certified by registered medical officer.
